Jared Goff Takes Shot at Ohio State With National Title Prediction

In a lighthearted moment during a recent Detroit Lions practice, quarterback Jared Goff playfully expressed his support for the Michigan Wolverines while making a national championship prediction. The Lions’ social media team shared a video where players were asked to choose between former Ohio State Buckeye Taylor Decker and former Notre Dame player Brock Wright. When it was Goff’s turn, he held up a photo of Wright and declared, “Go Blue,” referencing Michigan’s slogan. Teammate Alex Anzalone questioned his choice, to which Goff reaffirmed, “Go Blue!”

Although Goff played his college football at the University of California, Berkeley, his time in Detroit has seemingly influenced his collegiate allegiances. This playful jab adds to the anticipation surrounding the upcoming College Football Playoff National Championship between Ohio State and Notre Dame. The game is set to take place on January 20, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia.

As the championship approaches, fans and players alike are engaging in friendly banter, highlighting the deep-rooted rivalries and passionate support that define college football.
