After Alabama’s 19-13 loss to Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl, quarterback Jalen Milroe expressed optimism about the team’s future. Despite the defeat, Milroe highlighted the team’s commitment to excellence, stating, “We have a lot of great dudes in the locker room that are hungry, that are looking to get better and uphold the standard.”
Milroe’s performance in the bowl game was challenging; he completed 16 of 32 passes for 192 yards, with one touchdown and two turnovers. He also contributed 7 rushing yards on 16 carries, including a notable 41-yard run.
Regarding his future, Milroe remained noncommittal. He mentioned, “Right now, I’m just gonna try to soak up this moment today and not really try to focus on any future endeavors.”
Alabama’s season concluded with a 9-4 record, marking their first season with fewer than 10 wins since 2007. Despite the setback, Milroe’s leadership and the team’s dedication suggest a promising outlook for the Crimson Tide.
