Elaine Thompson-Herah hints at MVP Track Club return with major social media decision

Olympic sprinter Elaine Thompson-Herah recently stirred speculation about a potential return to Jamaica’s MVP Track Club after adjusting her social media, including changes to her bio and posts. Despite her recent struggles and a move to coach Reynaldo Walcott earlier this year, Thompson-Herah’s possible return to MVP has generated public interest, as she saw much of her career success there, including record-breaking performances at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics【32†source】【33†source】.

However, Stephen Francis, the prominent coach at MVP, has firmly denied any prospect of her rejoining the club. Francis expressed frustration over what he felt was a lack of recognition for MVP’s role in her past achievements. He stated that, while he would welcome back other former athletes, Thompson-Herah would not be considered, citing her departure and subsequent remarks as reasons【33†source】【34†source】.

With Thompson-Herah still navigating her career challenges, including recent injuries, it remains to be seen how this decision will impact her path forward.
