Alabama Football Set to Host Three Major Visitors from the Transfer Portal

The Alabama Crimson Tide football program is making significant moves in the transfer portal, as they prepare to host three high-profile visitors. With the 2024 season fast approaching, these visits could greatly influence Alabama’s roster for next year.

First, the Tide are set to host Devin Leary, a standout quarterback from NC State. Leary, who passed for over 3,400 yards and 35 touchdowns in his final season with the Wolfpack, is one of the top quarterbacks available in the portal. Alabama’s search for a more consistent signal-caller has been well-documented, and Leary could provide the experience and leadership needed to strengthen their offense next season.

The second notable visitor is Jaheim Bell, a versatile tight end from South Carolina. Bell, who also has the ability to line up as a fullback or wide receiver, is a dynamic weapon with over 500 receiving yards in 2023. His athleticism and flexibility make him an intriguing prospect for Alabama’s offense, particularly under offensive coordinator Tommy Rees, who values mismatched players in the passing game.

Lastly, Javion Cohen, a former Alabama offensive lineman who entered the portal after the 2023 season, is returning to Tuscaloosa for a visit. Cohen, who started multiple games at guard for the Tide, left for Miami but could be poised for a return to his old stomping grounds to provide much-needed depth and leadership on the offensive line.

With these three major visitors, Alabama is making strategic moves in the transfer portal, looking to bolster their roster for the 2024 season and potentially fill key gaps in both offensive and defensive positions.
