The Detroit Lions bolstered their linebacker corps on Monday by signing veteran Ben Niemann and releasing undrafted rookie Steele Chambers.
Niemann, who has participated in 86 games with 21 starts over his six-year career, recorded a career-high 70 tackles with the Arizona Cardinals in 2022.
Last season, he appeared in seven games, primarily on special teams, for the Denver Broncos and has also played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Tennessee Titans.
