After the conclusion of the 2022/23 Premier Soccer League season, the former Stellenbosch star made an unexpected transfer to Major League Soccer’s Philadelphia Union in July 2023.
While playing for the Cape Winelands team, the defender had an exceptional season and received individual accolades at the PSL Awards, being named the Nedbank Cup Most Promising Young Player of the Tournament. However, moving from Stellenbosch to the MLS has been challenging for the young defender.
Despite his success in South Africa, he has faced difficulties adapting to a new playing style and environment, and is still working towards making his MLS debut.
