For a player who fell in the draft, joining Detroit’s roster has been seen as the best chance to reach his potential.
“Being selected where I was is a blessing on its own,” Mahogany remarked at rookie minicamp. “I’m glad it was Detroit, and I’m just happy to move forward after slipping in the draft.
“The offensive line has a strong culture, and I believe the Lions have one of the best offensive line groups in the NFL. Being able to learn from players like Penei Sewell, Glasgow, (Taylor) Decker, and Zeitler will be invaluable for me at this stage in my career. That’s why I feel this way.”
