Trade rumors:Marner’s Camp Declines to Compile Trade List, Plans to Stay with Leafs…
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner has no intention of waiving his no-movement clause. Marner has one year remaining on his six-year, $65,408,000 contract, which includes full no-movement protection, requiring his approval for any trade. Despite trade rumors, The Athletic’s NHL insider Pierre LeBrun reports that Marner has not provided a list of teams he would accept a trade to and does not plan to do so.
“Currently, Marner’s camp, led by veteran agent Darren Ferris, is not compiling a list of teams. They have no plans to create such a list at this time. According to the Marner camp, the star winger intends to complete the final year of his contract with the Leafs,” LeBrun wrote in his article.
