Toronto Maple Leafs superstar Auston Matthews is officially back in for the Original Six club. Matthews, 26, missed the third period of Game 4 and did not play in Games 5 and 6 for the Maple Leafs. However, now that the Maple Leafs have an opportunity to stun the Bruins and have them blow their second 3-1 series lead in a row, Matthews is ready to go. The superstar center is one of the NHL’s best players, as his league-leading 69 goals and impressive 107 points in 81 games effectively display. However, the Bruins will now need to slow him down if they hope to pick up a win tonight. We will now need to wait and see if the Bruins can slow down Matthews and the rest of the Leafs from here. If they don’t, their season could be over by the end of the night.
